Lending Her Voice to Help NorthBay's Alzheimer and Bereavement Programs

Lending Her Voice to Help NorthBay's Alzheimer and Bereavement Programs
In 1997, local performer Tina Benedict was planning a concert for the Vacaville Cultural Arts Center Theater. A local favorite known for her strong voice and gifted renditions of classic songs from the 40s and 50s, her concert was almost certain to sell out.

She and her family had lost two beloved aunts to Alzheimer's disease, so Tina called NorthBay Healthcare to see if she could donate proceeds from the concert to the NorthBay Adult Day Center.

That was the beginning of a relationship with Tina Benedict and her family that continues to benefit NorthBay Alzheimer's and dementia programs today, as well as NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement, through their support of the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee.

"You have to help each other, the people in your own community," says Tina, who is now a member of the NorthBay Healthcare Foundation Board of directors.
